Did psychic Sylvia Browne predict coronavirus outbreak years before the pandemic is affecting countries all over the world? Kim Kardashian has shared a spooky theory which claims that the famous psychic made the prophecy about the global health crisis before her death in 2013.
On Wednesday, March 11, the 39-year-old reality TV star and model tweeted a picture of an excerpt from a 2009 book written by Sylvia entitled “End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies About the End of the World”. Kim wrote in the caption that it was brought to her attention by her elder sister Kourtney Kardashian, who shared it on their family’s “group chat.”
The excerpt from the book read, “In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments. Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attack again ten years later, and then disappear completely.”
This prediction eerily matches the characteristics of the illness. While COVID-19 often triggers symptoms like a “sore throat” and a “dry cough,” it “crawls progressively down the bronchial tubes” which are located in the lungs, putting the victim at risk of developing pneumonia.
Other Twitter users have also reacted to this prediction, with one commenting, “How crazy is this? The psychic, Sylvia Browne, predicted the @coronavirus.” Another added, “I remember Sylvia Browne, she was always pretty accurate with her predictions.”
Per March 11, coronavirus is declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization’s director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. More than 100,000 people all over the world have been infected with the disease, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths. Beloved actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are the first Hollywood celebrities to be diagnosed with coronavirus. The couple tested positive while in Australia for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann’s film about Elvis Presley.
