But when Subhash Ghai told her about her role, she was not interested in appearing for such a role. Her hesitance in appearing for the song turned out to be true when something really embarrassing happened.

  When Neena was presented to the director, Subhash Ghai, in a Gujarati tribal outfit, he had completely rejected her appearance. The next day, Neena was presented to him a different Gujarati outfit and in a bra that was heavily padded.

  This time he was satisfied with her look for the song. According to Neena, Ghai was very particular and detailed about what he wanted, which made him a good director. But we believe this is highly sexist, and we should not tolerate this type of objectification of women in any industry.
